Thank you for showing an interest in joining Inverness Swimming Club. Swimming is a great sport for both fitness and discipline. Inverness Swimming Club has been a competitive club for many years, developing swimming talent across the area. Children benefit from high-level coaching, gain confidence through training and enjoy competing within a team, at both home and away events.
Before returning the assessment questionnaire, it is important that you are aware that Inverness Swimming Club is a competitive club, affiliated to Scottish Swimming.
Candidates will be assessed on age, ability level and capacity within our structure, all the details are on our website for you to read over. Entry level is C squad, please refer to Joining and Training – C Squad Contract. This will enable you to decide whether you think your child can meet the requirements of ability level and age we are looking for.
All new swimmers will be on a 3-month probationary period to start with. Any new members are expected to attend all training sessions allocated to them, if your child does not meet attendance, or the coaches feel there is no progress for any reason, the club has the right to offer their place to someone else. Successful candidates will be issued with contracts with guidelines on requirement from swimmers and parents. These are also available to look at on the website.
The club relies on parent/guardian volunteers as a part of the running of an affiliated club and as Parent/Guardian, you will also be expected to join the support team.
Please fill and return the assessment questionnaire. This will be used by coaches as part of the assessment process before being invited for a swim trial.[user_registration_form id=”1493″]
